The ride starts from Richardson Bike Mart and takes you all the way up Independence Parkway to Prosper, Texas, before traversing east to McKinney and coming back around to Parker, Texas, then Murphy, Texas, and finally back west to Richardson. These roads are all well ridden by local cyclists so you are bound to see many other riders. The cars are also very courteous to cyclists and always move into the different lane from where you are riding. The route is generally flat and your biggest challenge will be the sun and wind. Try to bring at least 4 clif bars and two large water bottles for the ride. I rode this ride during the Covid-19 outbreak, so I'm unsure about the best places to stop, but there is a great looking place called the McKinney Cotton Mill that is next to Tupps Brewery, and seems like it would be a perfect stop a little over halfway through your ride.
