To celebrate National Taco Day, I wanted to organize a short taco ride with some friends. Taco Day is a celebratory day that promotes eating your fill of tacos. Even though here in Texas we eat tacos regularly. It’s a staple! For this ride we had 5 spots listed for our route but stopped at four. On our first stop was Casa Frida located on S. Alamo. Casa Frida makes homemade tortillas. I had a delicious fresh potato, egg, & cheese taco. Other participants enjoyed different tacos & Mimosas. Since we had 13 riders & Casa Frida makes everything freshly made we rode to our next spot but didn’t stop to eat. Pete’s Tako House on Brooklyn was next but everyone was ready for the next stop which was our third one. We ventured over to Cerveceria Chapultepec on E. Elmira St & N. St Mary’s. The newly opened everything $3 taco place. This was a hit for the riders. They enjoyed the food & drinks. Baja fish & shrimp tacos are yummy, a must try. Our last stop was The Friendly Spot on S. Alamo. By then we were nice & full. We made a stop for drinks & fries. Friendly Spot has great drinks, burgers, & fish tacos. Great atmosphere & outside seating. A pit stop for most cyclists in the area. How did you celebrate taco day? 🚴🏾♀️🌮
