This is a fast gravel ride loop, most coasting the Lake Apokpa North Shore, where you can see several alligators, birds, and fish. The wildlife is vibrant here. This route travels along old limerick roads through an open area with no shade. The wetlands are a hotspot for birdwatching and there are many other animals to be seen in this area. Users recommend bringing bug spray due to the number of bugs present in the warm months. There are other trail connections in the park for those wishing to extend or shorten this route.
The best time to ride is early morning. The trails don't have any shade. Bring extra water if you want to ride more than 20 miles. You can ride more miles and other trails if you wish.
