Story

This gravel route starts with a gentle climb along a well-maintained gravel road to Sylvan Lake. Once at the lake you'll start to make your way up to Crooked Creek Pass. Here, the road is less maintained. At Crooked Creek Pass, you'll continue to climb to the Peter Estin Hut. This is my favorite section of the route for the views. It's the most remote section of the loop and I rarely run into anyone else besides another gravel pal. Then it's downhill all the way back to the start. Hat Creek can be a little rough on a gravel bike, but once you reach Yeoman Park, the descending becomes smoother from where you started your ride. There is no cell service along this route, so ride prepared and have a blast!
